About Bristol, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Bristol, Tennessee is located in Sullivan County in the northeastern section of the state directly across the Tennessee/Virginia state line from its sister city, Bristol, Virginia.  The boundaries of the two cities parallel each other along State Street, which runs through the middle of their shared downtown district.  The sister cities share the distinction of "the birthplace of country music" and were the site of the first recordings made by the Carter Family, who got their start on July 31, 1927 when they travelled  to Bristol to audition for record producer Ralph Peer.

Although State Street is the official dividing line between the two cities, the list of recreational and entertainment venues shared between the two sister cities is long and impressive!

Bristol, Tennessee is home to the Bristol Motor Speedway, dubbed the "World's Fastest Half-Mile," that features a one-half mile concrete oval track known for its steep banking and high number of yellow-flag caution laps.  Also located in Bristol are the Bristol Caverns, one of the area's oldest attractions that features lighted walkways throughout the cavern chambers and along the banks of the ancient Underground River that was used during pioneer times as an escape route by the Indians during raids on settlers.

Bristol, Virginia is home to the Bristol White Sox, the minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, as well as the Rhythm and Roots Reunion, a three-day music festival held each September in downtown Bristol.  The festival is produced through the shared effort of the sister cities and features music representing the past, present, and future of Appalachian music.

Bristol's central location puts it directly in the center of a five-state area that includes Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina and places it within easy driving distance of major population centers that include Knoxville, Tennessee and Roanoke, Virginia via I-81.  Bristol's convenient location, together with its pleasant, moderate year-round temperatures and impressive entertainment venues, make it a great place to live or visit on both sides of the state line!
